So I was a little nervous about how today would work out. I knew that I was as prepared as I possibly could be to stay on track but I thought there would be pressures. These pressures may not have been imposed by others. They could have been my own mind caving to cravings or old patterns that are tempting. Normally when I am away for work we all go to the deli close by. Almost very time I get a salad with pita and humus. Sounds good but it is slathered in dressing and I eat way more then I need to. Also, I could never pass up the house made s’mores bar. Crazy gooey and decadent!
Are you getting the sweet addiction yet?
I knew that at lunch everyone would get up and say, “Jenny you getting lunch?” It’s really not that big of a deal but it is still a pattern that I had to break. No one flinched when I said I brought my lunch. Why would they? They did giggle a little when I walked in with a gallon of water that I used to continually fill my water jug. But even that only lasted a second. Then it was business as usual.
Tonight at dinner I walked down to the lobby and used the breakfast station to microwave my dinner. Sweet potato and roasted red pepper soup and broccoli. No one paid any attention to little old me. It really was so simple! I am sort of amazed at how easy it was. It goes to show that as long as you have a plan you can make anything happen.
Tomorrow will be more of the same. My breakfast and lunch is packed an I can’t wait to get home to my family tomorrow night.
